"I had my first Reiki session with Machi a few years ago. I was new to Reiki but know Machi so really wanted to try it out. It was so very calming and comforting and solidified Reiki as something I would and could turn to as a healing practice. Cut to when the lockdown started last March here in NYC. "Machi has a way of making you feel comfortable and relaxed. It may be the combination of her soothing voice and comforting home. The session started with a consultation. It felt more like just two old friends chatting. As I laid down on the table, I can feel my body starting to let go and grow heavier. "For as long as I have known Machi she has had an extremely calming and positive effect on me. When she told me that she had studied Reiki, I immediately wanted to work with her. What I did not know was shortly after that time I was diagnosed with breast cancer and would have to undergo treatment. Luckily, I was able to see Machi live for the first few treatments, which were extraordinary and calming. I was I the right hands, someone who I knew was filled with so much kindness and love, of course, had the gift of healing. Those first days helped calm and balance me.
My cancer treatments were during the first month of the Covid lock-down, which added even more stress!
